Wellnesty reviews its own products alongside every other UK retailer’s, which means our editorial independence needs to be more than a claim. This page sets out exactly how that works.
Same Criteria For Everyone
Every product we cover, ours or a competitor’s, is assessed against the same fixed set of criteria for its category. Material safety, comfort, noise level, battery life, value for money, whatever applies. We don’t loosen those criteria for our own range or tighten them for anyone else’s.
How We Decide What To Cover
Topics come from three places: genuine gaps we notice in existing UK coverage, questions we see people actually asking in forums and search data, and specific products or comparisons readers ask us about directly. We don’t accept payment to cover a specific product or write a favourable review.
When We Recommend A Competitor Instead Of Ourselves
If a competitor’s product is better suited to what a reader needs, our guides say so directly. This happens regularly, and it’s not a bug in our model. It’s the entire point of reviewing everyone by the same standard.
Corrections
If something in a guide turns out to be wrong or outdated, we correct it and note the update date on the article. We don’t quietly edit health-related claims without flagging that a change was made.
Medical And Health Content
Where an article makes a claim about a health condition, treatment, or medication, we flag it for review by someone with relevant clinical background before publishing, and we mark reviewed articles clearly. Articles awaiting that review are also marked, so you always know the current status of a page.
Independence From Sales
Writers are not measured or paid based on how a guide performs commercially. Editorial decisions sit separately from any sales or marketing function at Wellnesty.
Advertising
We do not carry third-party display advertising. Our revenue comes from Wellnesty’s own products and from affiliate commissions on other retailers’ products, both explained in full on our affiliate disclosure page.
