Wellnesty started from a simple frustration. Most sexual wellness content online falls into one of two camps. Either it’s a retailer reviewing its own products, which makes every recommendation a little suspect, or it’s a glossy magazine feature that skims the surface without ever getting specific enough to actually help.
We wanted something in between. A place that reviews its own products and every UK competitor’s using the same criteria, says clearly when a rival brand does something better, and treats sexual health with the same seriousness as any other part of wellbeing.
What We Actually Believe
Good information changes how people feel about their own bodies. Bad information, or no information at all, leaves people guessing, often for years. We’d rather send you to a different shop than watch you spend money on something we know won’t work.
That’s not a slogan. It shapes how we write everything, from a guide on lubricant types to a comparison between two retailers. If a competitor is genuinely better suited to what you need, we say so.
Who Writes This
Our guides are written by people with backgrounds in health journalism, sex education, and product research, and reviewed against current UK clinical guidance where the topic calls for it. Every article has a named author. Where a claim touches on health, we flag it for medical review before it goes live.
What We Won’t Do
We won’t publish a fake review. We won’t apply softer criteria to our own products than we apply to a competitor’s. We won’t dress up marketing as advice. If we can’t back up a claim, we don’t make it.
You can read the specifics of how that works in our editorial policy and how we test pages. If money changes hands when you click a link on this site, that’s disclosed plainly, not buried in small print — see our affiliate disclosure.
